The Death of Blogging?
Oh tell me when did blogging die? This fine art on its way to teaching a multitude to write. It mocks us as though saying that writing is too special a feat for all of common humanity. The last blog entry I had written was dated 7 years back, and my friends' blogs, well the most current, 2011. Nobody will have had the patience to write when social media came into the scene.
But I do miss it, writing for no apparent reason, the application of the operative word: musings.
The technologies have changed, but indeed the human action remains the same, still musings. What better way to spend a few minutes than to make a quiet reflection of the current state of life? Many authors have spread their perspective of the world by writing, many have saved us from the plague of self-doubt because of musings from when strength was abundant. We need to write, muse, be amused, be heard, remain unheard, try. We need to preserve our words because such are mirrors of our thought, how else can one measure the direction of one's life? Through bills? Money? Work? Too much work or the lack thereof? Children? Family? Yes. These are outwardly observable signs of changes in one's life but these are too chunky, too tedious, too much in motion to refine what really is the person behind all of the bustle. The soul.
There was a long pause in reflection, sadly most of it did occur, but this data scattered in multiple forms of media, unconsolidated from piles of printed form, calendars, planners, the back of calling cards, receipts, and the best ones, thoughts lent to the flailing serviette. Blogging needs a revival if we are to harvest the purest of thoughts.
